Spring, 1940:  Heavy water (deuterium oxide) is used to create atomic weapons.  The Allies have moved the global stockpile of 168 liters from Norway to France for safekeeping during the war.  However, Germany has plans to invade France and consolidate this precious liquid at the Wolfsschlucht in Margival.  Will the French Partisans succeed with their infiltration and sabotage?

Boffer RequirementFor this event, you must possess and use an approved boffer (safe plastic or foam blade replica) in order to perform a knife-kill.  Saying "knife-kill" while tapping someone on the shoulder with a finger should not be acknowledged as a hit by the targeted person.
Restricted Spawn-campingAlso, the innermost self-respawn poles are "campable" and may be overrun by the enemy.  But, the farther self-respawn poles are "uncampable" and may not be overrun.
ImmersionYou are encouraged to get into the role-playing aspects of this game.  For example, you could allow yourself to be captured by then enemy and escorted somewhere to be interrogated.  If you are already hit, you may allow the enemy to "drag" you and heal you back in after your three minutes have elapsed so that they can "torture" you for information, put you to work for them, or subject you to a ridiculous method of execution.  Alternatively, you always have the option to politely decline your enemy's attempts to get you to play along with them, but you must still follow all of the other game rules.
FactionsYour faction will be finalized on game day based on your preferences, your loadout/clothing, your experience level, your friend group, any local airsoft team affiliation you may have, and our faction size goals:
Partisans
Safe self-respawn: Wolves' DenAt-risk self-respawn: TentsDress code: civilian, preferably 1940sRadio channel: 1 (462.5625 MHz)
Germans
Safe self-respawn: Harris Bridge then to Pallet BaseAt-risk self-respawn: Wolfsschlucht (MAC)Dress code: military, preferably WW2 AxisRadio channel: 2 (462.5875 MHz)
Dress Code & InsigniaThis is not a strict reenactment which means that some participants will probably show up with modern loadouts and anachronistic gun replicas.  If you have a somewhat authentic-looking 1940s French Resistance, Allied, or Axis outfit, please wear it.  Players are expected to interact with each other based on how each is dressed in the context of Europe during World War II.  For example, German soldiers will probably seek to immediately capture or shoot at you if you’re dressed as an Allied soldier, so you may want to stay hidden from them. Please feel welcome to wear civilian clothing to this event because the majority of participants will probably be Partisans.  1940s civilian clothes are best, but modern civi outfits such as hoodies and jeans are acceptable.  As with all airsoft games, please do not wear anything predominantly red or orange. However, if your heart's desire is to be on the German faction that is intended to lose in the end, please wear authentic-looking WW2 German clothing or, at least, something that pays homage to it.  Please do not wear any modern camo or military gear.  We have several German loaner items such as helmets that you may borrow:
Radio CommunicationIf you have a two-way radio, keep it set on your faction’s radio channel.  You may monitor the other faction's channel, but do not transmit on itVOX mode, hot mic-ing, and channel jamming are all prohibited.  Please familiarize yourself with your radio and program in its channels before arriving at the field.
Phase 1:  BlitzkriegThe Germans have invaded France and will enter the area from their starting location at Harris Bridge which has their initial "uncampable" self-respawn pole.  Their objective is to advance with two more self-respawn poles to be set up within the wall of Pallet Base (uncampable once set up) and within five feet of the MAC Building (campable).  Meanwhile, the Partisans will start from the Tents and are tasked with fighting against the invasion.  Partisans may not move or hide any dropped/abandoned German self-respawn poles.  At the same time, the Germans may not respawn from these poles prior to them be planted at their set destinations.  If the Germans have failed to accomplish their objectives by 12:00, an announcement will be made that the Partisans will no longer be allowed to respawn and must wait out of play at the Tents until the next phase begins.
Pausex:  Surrender & DisarmamentThe French have surrendered to Germany and are being disarmed by their new occupiers.  After Phase 1, the game will be paused.  All Partisans must rally at the Tents, and all Germans will form up at Pallet Base.  Everyone will be required to disarm themselves of all of their AEGs, HPA guns, and high-functioning gas-powered airsoft guns that will be placed into locked containers to which only the field moderators have keys.  If you are unwilling to temporarily relinquish your weapons, then you may not participate in this event.  In the subsequent phases, players will gradually be rearmed with field-owned weapons and eventually their own replicas.  Players are not allowed to pick up sticks or other non-airsoft/LARP items to be used as weapons.Partisans may keep their own boffers and grenades, but these items should be concealed to prevent reprisals from the Germans.  Also, if you are a Partisan and you own any airsoft spring pistols, spring rifles, spring shotguns, spring-powered bolt-action sniper rifles, low-quality gas-powered pistols/revolvers, or other atypical airsoft weapons that you'd like to have the possibility of getting earlier access to during the next phase, you may load them into Omego's vehicle so that he can deliver them to the MAC for safekeeping under moderator supervision.  Then, they will eventually make their way back to you as the plot develops.  When hit, players should not drop or give away their personal or field-owned weapons because we want to prevent these items from getting lost.
Phase 2:  Rise of the ResistanceThe minimally armed Partisans will first be tasked with using a special wagon to transport jugs of heavy water from Gully Base to the MAC.  This will allow them to infiltrate the Wolfsschlucht and identify its vulnerabilities.  As the Partisans acquire better weapons and entry passes, it will embolden them to take harsher actions against the Germans such as assassinating Nazi leaders, dumping out the heavy water vat at the MAC, and possibly taking over the entire Wolfsschlucht. The springer-armed Germans will start this phase by sending a small group to supervise the heavy-water pumping station at Gully Base.  Meanwhile, a German officer will present the transport wagon to the Partisans at the Tents so that their work may begin.  Soon after, German squads will start to leave the Wolfsschlucht on missions to serve arrest warrants on certain Partisans.  They will also escort their VIPs to predetermined locations in order to seize valuable assets from around the countryside.
Phase 3:  Into the Eagle's NestEventually, the Partisans will become as well armed as their enemies and will have greater numbers so that they can launch a massive attack on the Wolfsschlucht to take over control of it and ascend the tower to replace the wretched swastika with the beautiful French Tricolour.  The Germans will try to hold onto their Führerbunker for as long as they can but will inevitably be pushed back to their uncampable self-respawn at Pallet Base where they will regroup, rearm, and ready themselves for the next phase!
Phase 4:  SauerkrautBy order of the furious Führer, himself, Germany is back with a brutal counteroffensive to retake the Wolfsschlucht.  But, this time, they will sweep through with the benefit of having all of their high-powered weapons unlockedAEGs, HPA, and more!
Phase 5:  Final VictoryThe retreating Partisans will be in for a treat when they receive full access to all of their high-powered weapons so that they can turn around and, once again, eradicate the German scourge from the Wolfsschlucht to achieve final victory!  If it is taking too long, Omego will announce that each German gets only one life and no more respawns so that the Partisans will ultimately overrun them and win.
