We welcome you to battle against yourself, to battle against your enemy, to battle against the land.  We welcome you to war, to Vietnam, to the jungle! This game will be high trigger time, limited in area, and designed to pressure you to experience the stress of never being out of the line of fire.  While the theme is Vietnam, you do not need a replica for this game; however, it is encouraged.  This is not a simulation of an event but a simulation of an atmosphere.  Will the stress inside overcome you?  Will the enemy prevail?  Or, will the land itself consume your glory?

Semi-Auto OnlyFull-automatic and burst-mode firing are prohibited at this event.  Only one BB is to be projected with each cycle of the trigger. However, we allow the following exceptions to this rule:
Special Hit & Respawn RulesIf you are hit or told by an orange-vested Game Runner that you are out, you are to yell "Hit, hit, hit!" while you display your red rag and begin sitting for three minutes (180 seconds).  After three minutes, you are permitted to move to your faction's self-respawn, or one of your live factionmates may come to you and place a bandage on your arm which will enter you back into play from your current location.  Two elastic bandages will be loaned to you prior to startex.  Keep them in a safe place like a closed pocket to prevent them from getting lost.  Once you decide to start moving toward your faction's self-respawn, you are not allowed to be entered into play by bandage for that hit/respawn cycle.  If you are hit for a third time while you already have two bandages on, you must go to your faction's self-respawn after sitting again for three minutes.  Each time you go to the self-respawn, you must reset your bandages by simply removing them from your arm and placing them back into your closed pocket so that they can be used again with the same rules described above.  During this game, there are special actions that factions can take that could instantly place you into a hit state.  Please follow the directions of the Game Runners and feel free to ask questions.  You may not respawn at any respawn trees during this game.
Drag RulesDuring the first three minutes of sitting, you may also allow yourself to be “dragged” by a live player if they are willing to move you somewhere.  You may simulate being dragged by maintaining physical contact with a live player while walking or running together.  Don’t pause your timer while being dragged.  Whenever the live player stops moving with you, you must get back down into a sitting position.  Additional hits that you receive while being dragged don’t cause your time to reset; however, the player who is dragging you is now hit and must go through this rule set from the beginning.  This prevents live players from using hit players as mobile meat-shields.  One live player may drag multiple hit players as long as all of the hit players maintain physical contact with the live player; however, this is risky to the live player because it creates a much bigger target.  After a hit player’s three minutes have elapsed, they may no longer be dragged. There usually isn’t much benefit in dragging a hit player.  However, some squads may want to do it in order to keep the hit players near them while they’re moving fast toward a distant objective.  Also, some players may want to drag their hit buddies behind cover so that it will be safer to respawn them after their three minutes are up.
FactionsYour faction will be finalized on game day based on your preferences, your loadout/clothing, your experience level, your friend group, any local airsoft team affiliation that you may have, and our faction size goals:

Radio CommunicationIf you have a two-way radio, keep it set on your faction’s radio channel.  You may not monitor or transmit on the other faction's channel.  Please stay off radio channel 1 (462.5625 MHz) unless you have asked to be on it by the Game Runner or you need to report a real-world emergency.  VOX mode and hot mic-ing are prohibitedChannel jamming is forbidden unless it is done by a Game Runner in accordance with an Action Card.  Please familiarize yourself with your radio and program in its channels before arriving at the field.
Dress CodeThis is not a strict reenactment.  Many participants will show up with modern camo/clothing and equipment.  If you have a somewhat authentic-looking outfit, please wear it.  If not, we may provide you with a loaner item that will distinguish you from the opposing faction.  You can also order items for either faction in advance from online sellers using Stockman's extensive list linked HERE.
No Spawn-campingYou and your faction are not allowed to stalk, surround, or fire upon the enemy self-respawn location.  Likewise, they're not allowed to camp your self-respawn either.
No-Go ZoneThe section of the main trail that spans from Logger's Entrance to South Bridge is the boundary line between the No-Go Zone and the Combat Zone.  The trail itself is part of the No-Go Zone, so stay off of it unless you're being escorted on it by the Game Runner.
Base CaptureTo capture a base, you must throw your enemy’s flag on the ground and replace it with your own as shown HERE.  There’s no limit to the number of times that the flags may be flipped on a control site, but you’re not allowed to steal or hide the flags.  Your faction will be awarded five points for each base that it controls during each of the four scoring times:  12:00, 13:00, 14:00, & 15:00.  The four bases that may be captured are Charlie, Delta, Echo, & SGC which are marked with orange flags on the map.
Hill Capture & CardsEach of the eight respawn trees within the Combat Zone is considered to be a "hill" that is available to be captured.  These trees are marked with red & white stripped tape wrapped around them and are marked on the map with red dots.  To capture a hill, you must write your faction's name and the time you arrived there on the provided clipboard.  One point will be awarded to your faction for every uninterrupted 15 minutes that your faction holds each hill.At each hill you will also find an attached unlocked ammo box that you may open.  These boxes may contain Action Cards and/or Counter Cards that you or your Faction Commanders may want to use.  New Cards may be added by the Game Runner throughout the day.

Action/Counter CardsIf played correctly by a faction, an Action Card can provide an advantage such as Chopper Insertion, Lazy Dog Drop, Napalm Spray, or Radio Jam.  In contrast, a Counter Card may be played against an opposing faction's Action Card with countermeasures such as Armored Bunker, Fighter Support, SAM Strike, or Spy in the Midst.  Each card provides a detailed description of what it does and may only be used once by radioing in the card's type, number, and activation code to the Game Runner.  Action Cards may be played by any live player; however, Counter Cards may only be played by a faction's Commanding Officer or Executive Officer.  Each faction may play no more than two Cards of any type within any 30-minute time period.
Death from AboveThroughout this event, it is likely that you will be told by Game Runners that you are hit even though you weren't struck by a BB.  This is due to Cards that were played against you by the opposing faction.  Sometimes you might just be in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Your faction is likely to also land some hits on your enemies in the same way.  You are required to accept these hits without argument and understand that the Game Runner is merely informing you of what your enemy has done.
VictoryThe faction with the most points at endex will win the day.
