Yarrrr....  Harris Island be the land of pirates!!!  They've fully taken over the island and buried their treasure of priceless gems, jewelry, and other booty.  The pirates are mostly friendly, as long as you don't disrupt their relatively peaceful life.  Players will be divided into teams to explore the island, conquer territory, entreat with the pirates, discover clues, find tools, and perhaps dig up the treasure!

Semi-Auto OnlyFull-automatic and burst-mode firing are prohibited at this event.  Only one BB is to be projected with each cycle of the trigger. However, we allow the following exceptions to this rule:
BoffersA boffer is a handheld soft-foam object that resembles a bladed weapon.  Players are forbidden from bringing their own boffers to this event.  However, a limited number of boffer swords will be provided to Pirates and available for some of the other players to acquire in-game.  A single strike from a boffer's "blade" counts as a hit.  Please be gentle because a soft tap is all that's necessary.

Pirate Restrictions & InvincibilityFrom startex to 14:00, Pirates may only be armed with pistols and boffer swords.  But, they are invincible to BB fire during this time, so please do not abuse them by intentionally shooting them with BBs.  Instead, you may eliminate a Pirate only by striking them with a boffer that you acquired during the game or by detonating a noise-producing grenade within the room that they're located without them having the safety of being behind a wall within that room. After 14:00, Pirates become just like every other player; such that, they may use their rifles and are no longer invincible to BB hits.
LootingDuring this event, certain game pieces that are smaller than a basketball may be taken (looted) from hit players during their three minutes after getting hit.  The looter must be a live player who is close enough to the hit player to make physical contact with them and says, "I'm looting you."Then, the hit player must hand over all of the game coins and that they have on their person to the live player.  If the looter is a Pirate, then the hit player must also hand over all of the treasure-map pieces that they have.

Radio CommunicationIf you have a two-way radio, keep it set on your faction’s radio channel.  You may not monitor or transmit on the other factions' channels.  Channel 1 (462.5625 MHz) will be monitored by Game Control and may be used by anyone to report emergencies and captured flags.  VOX mode, hot mic-ing, and channel jamming are all prohibited.  Please familiarize yourself with your radio and program in its channels before arriving at the field.
No TreasonYou must remain loyal to the team that you are on or currently allied with and not betray them, because treason will break this game.  Explorer teams are not permitted to form alliances with each other until 14:00 when they will collaborate to acquire the buried treasure.  From startex to 13:00, individual Pirates may ally themselves with a team of their choice to provide assistance.  After 13:00, Pirates will be openly hostile against all explorer teams.
No Spawn-campingYou and your faction are not allowed to stalk, surround, or fire upon the enemy self-respawn location(s).  Likewise, they're not allowed to camp your self-respawn(s) either.
Dress CodeDon't dress in pirate garb unless you've been invited to be a Pirate; even then, it's optional.  Most participants will probably show up with modern camo/clothing and equipment.
ObjectivesEach team will start at their self-respawn pole and are encouraged to explore the island in search of coins, swords, territorial flags, and clues to find more booty.  The ultimate goal is to locate and dig up the treasure chest!
Territorial ConquestYou may capture territory for your team by grabbing large Jolly Roger flags spread around the field and bringing them to your self-respawn pole.  Then, use a radio set to channel 1 (462.5625 MHz) to report to Game Control whenever you secure each flag at your base.  You may use your own radio or the radio that's attached to your self-respawn pole.  Send your transmission again until you receive a confirmation from Game Control.  Hit players must drop any flags that they're carrying.  Pirates will not be participating in this territorial conquest because they already claim the entire island as their own!  Everyone with an internet connection may monitor each team's progress in real time through this URL:  https://multitimer.net/board/?q=5efcdnxoni
