Semi-Auto OnlyFull-automatic and burst-mode firing are prohibited at this event. Only one BB is to be projected with each cycle of the trigger.However, we allow the following exceptions to this rule:
- Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) replicas that are listed HERE
- Guns that weigh at least 10 pounds and are at least 36 inches in length
- Pump/slide-action or lever-action guns that shoot multi-round bursts

Radio CommunicationIf you have a two-way radio, keep it set on your faction’s radio channel. You may not monitor or transmit on the other factions' channels. VOX mode, hot mic-ing, and channel jamming are all prohibited. Please familiarize yourself with your radio and program in its channels before arriving at the field.
Restricted Spawn-campingUnited States soldiers and Taliban militants are not allowed to stalk, surround, or fire upon the opposing faction's permanent self-respawn location. However, self-respawn flags at forward operating bases are vulnerable to attack as described below.
Forward Operating BaseAfter the operation begins, each faction (excluding Afghan civilians) may establish a forward operating base (FOB) at any location of their choice within the area of operations (AO) that is at least 300 feet away from the opposing faction's permanent self-respawn location. To do so, they must place a special "FOB RESPAWN" flag that will serve as a second self-respawn pole for everyone in their faction. However, at any time, the opposing faction may come through and deactivate it by simply taking it down, but it is not allowed to be moved or hidden by the opposing faction. There is no limit to the number of times a FOB flag may be put up or taken down. Any live player on the faction to whom the FOB flag belongs may move it at any time throughout the operation, and there is no limit to the number of times it may be moved. At startex, each faction's FOB flag will be located at its permanent self-respawn location. Unique to this event is that U.S. soldiers and Taliban militants will each start with two FOB flags, and some may already have been placed by Omego prior to startex.
ObjectivesMission orders will be revealed sequentially during the operation such as setting rally points, reconnoitering, moving to contact, ambushing, establishing working relationships, negotiating, securing commitments, influencing politics, implementing intimidation tactics, escorting VIPs, assassinating HVTs, retrieving/intercepting assets, and attacking/defending locations. There will be no pauses in gameplay, but there will be set times and locations where you are to rally up.

Preferred Tactics for Taliban ForcesTaliban forces should use harassing tactics when attacking U.S.
Small Unit Attacks:The smallest element can slow down a larger force for a long time. A single sniper can keep a far superior force halted for a long time. Use of near ambushes is the preferred method of engagement by Taliban forces. A group of two to four players along with an IED or mine conduct a quick attack and then retreat.
Near/close ambush:A near ambush is a surprise attack that takes place within hand grenade range. The attack should use overwhelming firepower to kill and wound the enemy as fast as possible. The purpose of the ambush is not to sustain a firefight; it is to kill, delay, and harass the enemy forces. A kill zone is a field of fire located in front of the ambushers that gives the friendly forces a terrain advantage against enemy forces. Once an ambush is triggered everything inside the kill zone should be engaged. The leader of the team should pick a spot where the enemy is channeled into a narrow area and with some kind of natural obstacle between the attacker and the enemy such as a stream, wetlands, or thick brush. These are to make it harder for the enemy to assault towards the attacker. The leader then positions their forces to be covered and to be able to engage the whole kill zone. Normally you will have your forces spread out so that one grenade cannot take out more than one person—usually three to five meters apart.The ambush should be started with the most lethal weapon. If mines or IED are available, they should be the signal for the ambush to be initiated. If a mine or IED is not available, a SAW or belt feed should be the initiator. Once the ambush has been started, every member of the team engages as many enemies as they can. The SAW/belt feed should fire at cyclic rate (as fast as the gun can fire) and spray back and forth over the kill zone. The rifleman should engage single targets. If the team has grenades, they should be employed at this time. Once the element in front of them has been decimated, the leader of the ambushers should then break contact (retreat) away from the kill zone. They should retreat back at an angle away from the rest of the enemy force. If you retreat in the direction that the enemy came from, you are opening your force up to being ambushed by trail units.
IED/mechanical ambush:These types of ambush are often used to harass, slow down, or kill the enemy without putting your forces at risk. An improvised explosive device (IED) or mechanical ambush is placed and then over-watched by one or two personnel. The personnel are not there to attack the enemy but are there to ensure that the IED/mine works or to manually detonate the IED. If the IED/mine does not work, the enemy should recover it. The overwatch team should be able to observe the location of the IED/mine but not expose themselves to enemy fire. This attack is the preferred attack method of Taliban fighters. Locals may also be used to conduct these types of attacks.
Suicide vest:This tactic is very powerful and is only for the most loyal and dedicated followers of the Taliban and foreign fighters. These freedom fighters have only one task—to get as close to a target to cause as much damage as possible. S-vest bombers are groomed to conduct their attacks without emotion. Most S-vests have fail-safes that prevent the bomber from faltering from their mission. Large Unit Attacks:These types of attacks are very seldom used by the Taliban themselves because they have a limited number of diehard forces to conduct them. When these attacks do take place, they are used to overrun an enemy-held position. During these attacks, the Taliban will use locals or inexperienced forces to lead the attack while the experienced forces will be used to exploit any gains the forward forces may make. Depending on who is leading the attacks, they could be simple wave attacks (literally groups attacking in waves over and over till the enemy is overrun due to lack of ammo) up to complex military attacks with combined arms.
Wave Assault:This is the simplest of attacks and requires little-to-no military tactics. Small groups of locals will be led by hard core Taliban foreign fighters that will attack the enemy until every person is killed. The purpose is to overwhelm one area of the enemies defense so that the next wave can break though the enemy defenses and destroy the enemy forces with S-vest or small arms fire.
Basic Military Assault:This is a moderate level of attack that requires basic understanding of military tactics. In these types of attacks, one force will suppress the enemy with large amounts of small arms fire, while allowing time for a flanking force to maneuver to the sides of an enemy force before assaulting/attacking the enemy from the side. The support force will shift their fires to the opposite way the flanking force is attacking from to prevent the enemy from retreating from the flanking force. Once the flanking force has assaulted through the enemy position, the support force will assault forward though the enemy to ensure maximum casualties. Then, IED/mines/grenades will be placed under the died to cause more damage when the enemy reinforcements arrive.
Complex/combined-arms assaults:This is a high level of attack that requires advanced understanding of military tactics and coordination. In these types of attacks, different types of groups, weapons, and tactics are used to confuse and overwhelm the enemy forces. In a combined-arms attack, direct fire, indirect fire, S-vest, technical vehicles, and drones would be used to attack the enemy location. These attacks would be used against a hardened enemy in a well-fortified location. An example of this would be a bunker complex, a forward operating base, or combat outpost.These types of attack are seldom used as it would exhaust all of the Taliban forces' assets, supplies, and personnel. If this type of attack was to be used, a basic plan would be as follows:

- Rocket attacks to instill fear and confusion in the enemy forces
- Drones attack to destroy enemy support weapons and observation post
- SAW/machine guns used to suppress enemy forces from returning fire and containing them to select areas so they can not counter attack or retreat
- If Technical Vehicles (vehicles with heavy weapons mounted on them) are available, they would be used to suppress from different directions.
- Final direct attacks of weakened/breached locations by fanatical forces wearing S-vests followed up by forces with small arms to mop up and resistance that may be left.
