Semi-Auto OnlyFull-automatic and burst-mode firing are prohibited at this event. Only one BB is to be projected with each cycle of the trigger.However, we allow the following exceptions to this rule:
- Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) replicas that are listed HERE and/or guns that weigh at least 10 pounds while being at least 36 inches in length (However, only two of this type are allowed per ProLeague team.)
- Pump/slide-action or lever-action guns that shoot multi-round bursts
- BB shower shells such as Madbull
- Mini launchers such as Zoxna
- Double-barrel guns such as THIS when fired only in semi-auto
Teams & CaptainsEach team may have 4 to 12 members. To be within this range, solo players and smaller groups will be combined with other compatible players. Larger groups of more than 12 will be split up. Each team will need to select one of its members to be their Captain. That person will need to have their own radio or may borrow one from Game Control.
REDCONYour Captain may call "REDCON" at any time and even as a hit player. When this happens every member of your team is instantly considered to be hit and must put on their red rag if it isn't on already. This includes teammates that may have physically separated from your team for various reasons, so be sure that you can get ahold of them by radio. Then, your entire team must move together to one self-respawn location of the Captain's choice before reentering the game. Players on your team who are still counting down their 3 minutes of sit-time may stand up early and start moving as soon as the REDCON is announced by their Captain. REDCON is short for Readiness Condition and refers to THIS.
Shared Self-RespawnsAll teams/players will share the same five self-respawn locations at Gully Entrance, Harris Bridge, Logger's Entrance, Southwest Border, and the Compound that is located just south of the Castle. These locations are marked in orange on the map below. Do not attack other teams/players when they happen to be respawning near the same time and at the same self-respawn location as you. Instead, just move away peacefully in separate directions. Game props that are larger than a basketball may not be brought within the walls of the Compound (south of Castle) because it is considered to be a neutral self-respawn zone where players can rest before reentering the game. You must keep your eye/face-protection on at all times while in the Compound and everywhere else in the AO. You and your team are not allowed to stalk, surround, or fire into the Compound neutral zone.
Radio CommunicationChannel 1 (462.5625 MHz) is reserved for communications between Game Control and Captains to announce scoring updates, answer questions about the rules, and other pertinent issues; therefore, Captains are required to monitor it throughout the game. Captains may also use channel 1 to negotiate agreements with each other such as alliances or truces. Everyone else may transmit on channel 1 only if they're reporting real-world emergencies.If you want your team to have its own radio channel/frequency for internal communication, you may select your own secret frequency if you know what you're doing and have at least a Technician Class operator license. Otherwise, you may ask Game Control to assign your team a channel which will come from the following list. Channels 15 through 22 are forbidden because they often cause frequency bleed over.If you have a two-way radio, keep it set on your team's radio channel. You may not monitor or transmit on the other teams' channels without permission from their Captains. VOX mode, hot mic-ing, and channel jamming are all prohibited. Please familiarize yourself with your radio and program in its channels before arriving at the field.
DispersionThree minutes before startex when the game briefing is completed, teams will be encouraged (not required) to fan out in different directions from the Compound so that they'll be spread out when the game begins. This may also give them an advantage over the teams that start from the Compound because they'll probably have more clear avenues of movement.
Team FlagEach team must have one flag (no more, no fewer) for the capture-site objective described below. Your flag must be at least 2' x 3' and should have a grommet so that it can be hooked and raised up a flag pole. You can order a customized flag for your team from online sellers like THIS. Don't worry if your team doesn't have its own flag yet because you may borrow a generic one from us for free!
Objective: Capture SiteEvery 45 minutes, a new capture site will be in play with 6 points awarded to the team that has their flag raised on it at the end of that interval. Therefore, multiple teams will be fighting over the same site at the same time if they choose to pursue this objective.There will be a total of five different sequential capture sites, and the scoring times will be at 11:45, 12:30, 13:15, 14:00, & 14:45 with Game Control present to score them. At least part of your team's flag must been within 12" of the top of the flag pole to count as being raised. Shortly after each site is scored, the next available site will be announced on channel 1 and over the field public-address system.There’s no limit to the number of times that the flags may be flipped on a capture site. If you're able to take control of a site from an opposing team, you should leave their flag on the ground at the base of the pole before raising yours. You’re not allowed to steal or hide other teams' flags. If more than one flag is raised on the pole of a site at the scoring time, no team will earn any points. Only live players may touch the flag pole & halyard at the capture site that is currently in play. But, once it's out of play, you may retrieve your team's flag from it even if you're hit/red-ragged.Maximum possible score = 30 points
Objective: Nuke HuntPrior to startex, there will be five large yellow duffel bags (nukes) placed around the AO. Each is worth 4 points to the team that is in possession of it at endex. So, if you find any, you will probably want to keep them with your team or hide them somewhere so that you can retrieve them near the end of the game. You may hide and booby-trap the nukes, but you are not allowed to tie/lock them down to prevent someone from physically running off with them. And, they must stay within the AO at all times throughout the game. Also, you may not bring nukes into the Compound before endex is called. During the last 15 minutes of the game, an announcement is scheduled to be made to remind all teams to get hands on their nukes so that it's clear who's in possession of each at endex. We do not want teams fighting over them after the game is over. Make sure you remember where you hid your nukes because you will have only until 15:05 to bring them to a central location that will be announced.Maximum possible score = 20 points
Objective: Intel CollectionPrior to startex, there will be five supply assets placed around the AO, and each team's Captain will be given a map with a coordinate grid on it. The assets will be chain-locked to trees, so do not try to take, move, hide, vandalize, booby-trap, or damage them in any way. Instead, you should simply inspect them for a code word and relay it to your Captain so that it can be written down on the map and presented to Game Control at endex. Each properly presented code word is worth 2 points for your team. All teams have the potential to find all of the assets and score on all ten of the code words. Each asset will also provide the map coordinates for the next asset. So, if you find one asset, you can follow the "breadcrumbs" to find all the rest.Maximum possible score = 10 points
GoalEach team has the potential to score up to 60 points from completing objectives during this game. The team with the most points at endex will be declared the champion!
TiebreakerIn the end, if two or more teams tie for first place with the same number of points, a short round of "Capture the Flag" will be held to determine the champion. Game Control will select a combat zone based on the number of teams that tied. Each team's starting position around the periphery of the combat zone will be selected by a random method such as a coin toss or the Tiny Decisions app. Losing teams are encouraged to spectate with their red rags on around the outside of the combat zone. Before the tiebreaker begins, a flag on a pole will be placed near the center of the combat zone, and each team’s specific starting location will be marked with an orange cone that must remain stationary. Just before startex is called, each player must be bunched up with a body part within 5 feet of their orange cone. After startex is called, players may move anywhere within the combat zone. Their objective is to capture the flag by grabbing it and sticking its pole into the center hole of their team's orange cone which will count as a championship victory for their team as soon as this happens.During this tiebreaker, each player gets only one life and zero respawns regardless of how large or small their team is when compared to the others. Hit players must call their hit and immediately move out of the combat zone to spectate with their red rags on.
TrustWe have always viewed airsoft as less of a competitive sport focused on winning and more as an immersive hobby where exciting “airsoft moments” are the real prize. We've been apprehensive to host anything too competitive because we're concerned that it could instigate cheating which would ruin the fun for everyone. Please prove that we have nothing to worry about. All ProLeague teams should strive to earn each other's trust so that there's never any doubt about hit-calling or complying with the rules. In the end, there can only be one champion; therefore, everyone must be mature enough to lose gracefully.
CamerasYou are very welcome to use action cameras during these events, and we expect there to be many. If you happen to capture unequivocal evidence of someone cheating, please share it only within the ProLeague Planning group so that we can examine your footage and take appropriate action without publicly trashing someone's reputation or making the field's player base look dishonorable.
OPSECTwenty-four hours before startex, only Game Control is allowed into the AO. Teams/players who violate this rule will be prohibited from participating, and it could delay startex for everyone.
