Since the recent civil war’s end last summer, with a clear winner and single political party in control of the central government, the small nation state of Afrhodesia experienced a period of peace.  The new central government has been largely absent and ineffective, but this is still a dramatic improvement from years past. In the last several weeks, severe weather events have cut power in the capital and the regions surrounding it.  The minor government presence has decreased to nothing, and only a few small private organizations have been able to get aid into the area.  Local militia groups once again drift toward civil war to control the scarce resources and power vacuum, the civilian population has little choice but to join the fight for survival.
