Following the conclusion of last year’s civil war, the always-struggling nation of Afrhodesia has enjoyed relative peace. The global pandemic and shortages of humanitarian aid have prevented the nation from getting back on its feet entirely, while the shortages of munitions and military supplies have prevented another large-scale conflict. With the outbreak of Monkey Pox in the region, one of the leading doctors in Afrhodesia, funded by a lesser-known warlord, was able to develop a promising vaccine. However, the warlord and the doctor both mysteriously disappeared somewhere near the southern border last week. The next generation of warlords and factions are blaming each other for these events and arming themselves for the next conflict. Surely the reigning power that controls these vaccines and their knowledge could control the nation for at least the next year or so . . .

Gear & Mag RestrictionsThis event has strict gear requirements. This is a civilian-militia civil war because the poor nation of Afrhodesia does not have an organized military. There are no camo restrictions. Tribes will be organized by colored armbands. Civilian clothes are allowed, but please do not wear tops that are brightly colored, as it may conflict with the armband colors. No tactical vests, plate carriers, battle belts, tactical pouches or chest rigs are allowed. Players must instead carry their supplies, magazines, and ammo another way. Normal belts with simple, generic pouches are allowed along with shoulder bags, satchels, fanny packs, and backpacks. If you have something questionable, please ask before you bring it. If you show up looking like a Navy SEAL, you will be asked to remove your gear before entering the field. Homemade gear is acceptable. Any camo, including ghillie suits, are acceptable.Gun magazines are restricted to a single wind-up high-capacity mag or unlimited mid-cap mags.If you break these rules, points will be deducted from your faction, and you will be asked to remove your excess gear from the field.
TribesThere will be 8 tribes at this event. Players will be divided prior to game start and identified by colored insignia. One warlord (leader) will be assigned to each tribe. As the game progresses, players may be captured and switched to different tribes as described below. The tribe that you start with will be determined on game day based on the total number of attendees, friend groupings, and the need to keep things balanced.
Radio CommunicationChannel 1 (462.5625 MHz) should be used only for communicating with moderators. Tribes may select channels 2 through 14 for internal communication. Channels 15 through 22 are forbidden because they often cause frequency bleed over.VOX mode, hot mic-ing, and channel jamming are all prohibited. Please familiarize yourself with your radio and program in its channels before arriving at the field.

Situation & ObjectivesIn this game, players will compete for land, wealth, resources, and people in the war-torn nation. Several bases can be captured by these tribes and will be scored nearly on the hour as the day progresses. The search for the missing vaccines plus control over the nations, land, and people are sure to bring your faction glory and wealth. There is a small neutral faction of humanitarians roaming the region and providing medical aid that players can use to their advantage.Several optional objectives will be scattered across the field such as ammunition crates and weapons that will be marked by orange tape. Missing vaccines will be marked with red tape. If you are unsure whether something is a game prop, please ask a moderator. If tribes come across these objects, they may take them. Orange-marked objects may be moved to a base owned by that tribe to accumulate extra points. These objects may be recaptured and moved by any player and are only worth points when inside a base at the scoring interval. Red-marked vaccines may be donated directly to the Red Cross / humanitarian workers for immediate points for your faction. The bases that may be captured and scored during the scoring interval are Alpha Base, Bravo Base, Castle, Echo Base, Fort Harris, Gully Base, MAC Building, Pallet Base, Prison, and Wolves' Den.Points will also be awarded, and your tribe will grow, by capturing other players as described below.
Hit & Respawn RulesCall your hit. Put your red rag on your head. Drop every prop that’s bigger than a basketball. Don’t reveal intel to live players.Sit for 5 minutes out of play. Then, after the 5 minutes have run out, you may remain seated while waiting for a live player to come respawn you back in, or stand and move to catch up with your buddies and be respawned by one of them at a safe respawn tree or by yourself at a permanent self-respawn pole location which is described below. The person who respawns you does so by taking off your red rag and placing it in your hand. Once you start moving, you may no longer be healed in-place.The permanent self-respawn poles are located at Gully Entrance, Harris Bridge, Logger's Entrance, and South Bridge. You are encouraged to use them if you are separated from your tribe or if you all get hit.
Capture RulesDuring the first 5 minutes after getting hit, players may be captured by opposing factions. Players being captured cannot evade the capture, and must allow themselves to be “dragged” by the opposing live player. Once physical contact is made with a player by an enemy tribe, the 5 minutes hit time resets and pauses. The enemy tribe may move the hit player by leading them to any base on the field that their tribe owns, and then call in the capture on radio channel 1. A moderator will make their way to that location and score the capture. At this time, the captured player will either be converted to the tribe that captured them, or returned to their tribe at the moderator's discretion which would prevent the capturing tribe from growing too quickly. Even if a player is released, points will still be awarded to the capturing tribe. If the player being captured is left idle and unattended by the capturing tribe for 5 consecutive minutes, they may leave to rejoin their tribe as with the normal hit procedure and the enemy tribe will have failed their capture. Maintaining physical contact keeps this time paused. Other tribes may intercept captures in order to capture those players for themselves.
Red Cross / Humanitarian WorkersThroughout the day, international aid workers will be traveling the countryside looking to provide assistance to the victims of the conflict. These workers are neutral and will provide aid to all players. Targeting them will not result in a loss of points, but may cause them to withhold aid from your tribe in the future. These workers can also give your faction points for any vaccines you recover and donate to them.
